[Spam, Day 4]

[Locked in the infirmary by Bucky, Mason spent most of the last two days of the Barge nonsense in various stages of detox, slowly being weaned off the drugs permeating in his system. He's not especially aware for most of it, alternatively giving out random mumbles or hysterical, clownish laughter. This gives eventual way to sobs once he comes crashing down into the deep pit of memory, and it certainly doesn't help to see one of his own victims in the same room not three beds away.

By the time the Barge has been restored to normal - and him along with it - Mason makes his escape in the middle of the night]

[He doesn't return to his cabin. Mason finds his way to the gardens instead, and doesn't have the vaguest awareness that they're laid out differently now. He wanders inside the greenhouse, and finds a nice overhung bush to crawl under. It feels a bit like camping, really, if he closes his eyes.

He stays there a good chunk of the rest of the week]

[ She likes the gardens. Feels a lot less closed in than the rest of the Barge, you can breathe the air easier here - for obvious reasons. She's still got her oxygen tank trailing behind her, her cannula in place, but wandering brings her to the greenhouse, greenhouse brings her to Mason, and, well.

For a short while, she doesn't say a thing; she just sits down beside him and carefully unplugs herself from her machine, slipping the nose tube off with a deep breath. She's not smiling, she's not even sure she's happy to see him. She doesn't know exactly what he's done, only by hearsay, but he's camped out in here for a reason. Probably a good one.

Cosima's hands fold on her map after she twists off the oxygen tank, peering at Mason with a flat and very serious kind of look. ]

You know - You can't hide in here forever.

[Mason's only half visible from where Cosima is sitting, his head resting on his arm as he lies on his side, partially obscured by the bush he's lying under. He hears her coming but doesn't stir, using his other hand to idly make circles in the dirt around the grass]

[ She repeats in that kind of scientist tone, eyeing him over and finally just giving his fingers a long look as he draws away. ] Dolphins have forty-four chromosomes as opposed to humans' forty-six. Dolphins are practically humans.

[ She does smile a little, wryly. ]

I came in here.

[ She pauses a beat, folding her arms. ]

Imagine if Poison Ivy showed up, you'd be screwed.

[Part of that bush is actually a lizard, Mason.

You weren't to know. He sits very still and blends very well when he's meditating. ...he only has spells of neon like aftershocks very briefly and far between, now that he's been cured.

But the bush cracking one yellow eye in confusion is probably a good clue that Mason is not quite alone.]
