[Armed with an anti-vampire bracelet fashioned by Dr. Facilier, Mason one morning takes off for Jerry's room. It makes sense to go in the morning, doesn't it? Vampires sleep during the day.

It escapes Mason's notice that Jerry's been human for weeks, and thus the anti-vampire bracelet is not going to have the desired effects he might have hoped for.

He bangs on the man's door at 6am]

[ While Jerry was human, he hadn't quite adjusted to a human schedule, so Mason wasn't terribly wrong. He'd actually been asleep for once. For a few hours.

The pounding on the door, however, ripped him from his sleep and he nearly fell out of his bed. But his paranoia that people might try to kill him had died down considerably from those first few weeks. Not being killed after facing Mickey or Dean or hell, even surviving Stephen's attack was enough to convince him that no one was going to burn him alive again.

So he ventured toward the door with only the usual hesitation of why the hell would someone be pounding on his door at 6am? Squinting with sleep still in his eyes he opened the door enough to peek out. ]

Mason?

[ Mason was about the least threatening person on the ship, so he pushed the door open further. ]

What are you doing here?

[Mason, awkward when not all up in righteous fury, squinted back at Jerry and stuck up his fists. The bracelet gleamed on the wrist closest to the former vampire.

He could do this. He was great at fighting! He'd punched people before.

[ Jerry remained perplexed, but he could sort of understand why Mason would be there. But so long had passed since he'd even spoken to the guy, he'd nearly forgotten about him. His attack on Mason had been incredibly minor on the scale of just what he'd done on the ship. And after the whole soul-ripping incident, he'd thought they were settled.

He stepped out into the hall, leaving the door open behind him. He spread his hands, showing he wasn't going to be attacking. ]

Sure. What is it?

[Mason, checking his bracelet, takes a step back out into the hallway and puts his skinny little fists up]
