IC CHARACTERISTICS:
•CURRENT CANON POINT: From the middle of Season 2, the night after he bludgeons Ray to death.
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Mason is British, late 20s, smells like he hasn't showered in a few days, 6'0'' with brown hair and eyes. Usually in older, grungier clothes with rock themes, Mason has the faintest aura of something...off about him. Maybe it's the fact that he's been dead for about 40 years.
•DEMEANOR: Obnoxious, hopeless, inappropriate. Mason is usually out to steal things from whomever he's around, talks a big game but ultimately doesn't know what he's talking about. He's gullible, annoying, and rude.
•ABILITIES: Mason is a grim reaper. He is undead, which comes with a certain level of immortality/invulnerability: he can't die again, and he can get plenty hurt, but things that would ordinarily kill a regular person just tend to heal over in time.
Doesn't mean it doesn't hurt like a bitch.
This also means that most of the drugs he takes have a severely reduced side effect on him, and thus he must constantly ingest larger quantities in order to get that same high. On the plus side, he can drink as much as he wants without getting a hangover.
In terms of reaper powers, Mason is the same as the rest of his cohorts in that he is tasked with removing the souls of dead people from their bodies via physical touch. He can pull a soul out of its body by touching it but is instructed only to do this to people who are dead or about to die: doing it to others could lead to disastrous consequences. He can also speak to ghosts that no one else can see or hear.
ON THE BARGE, Mason's powers should be nearly all stripped from him upon arrival to the Barge: no yanking souls out of bodies, no healing or immunity to death, no built-up tolerance to drugs and alcohol. He may still have the ability to communicate with dead souls no one else can see, but I don't see this coming into play much at all.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: Rapid healing when he has his powers, as well as an inability to die. Without his powers, pretty much a normal human.
•CABIN INFORMATION: The door is cheap plywood, like you might find in a college dorm or an apartment run by a Boston slumlord. Inside, it's a pit. There's trash everywhere, a broken-down Murphy bed, offensive smells, and rock 'n roll memorabilia. Also a lot of people's stolen stuff. And the occasional crumbled up Post-It with names of dead people on them.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Anything having to do with men hurting women.
