Someone here told me that if I donated bits of myself to science, I could get into the drug trials here. That you all have a lab of some kind an' if I volunteer, I get to be a part of your whole pharmaceutical racket, an' I know he was not just pulling my leg because there is no way everyone on this ship is coping without pills.

I would like some. I would like these pills.

So I should like to volunteer my body for scientific purposes, an' should there be more than one, I will accept bidding in the degree of amphetamines.

[Mason is on a mission. One week ago, Bleu commissioned him to find clothing for her, and so he's off from the 1st floor all the way down to the 8th, using his lockpick and his ultra stealthy demeanor to break into the cabins of his fellow passengers on a search for adorable outfits. Whether the outfits belong to men or women seems to not bother Mason, who has the fashion sense of a stunned and colorblind wolverine. After picking into the cabin of each passenger, he retreats with an armful of clothing, leaves it in his room, and then is off and out again to try another door]

[ooc note: Open call to have cabins broken into: Mason's decently handy with most regular doors, but for deadbolts, bioscanners, anything technologically advanced, he can't get in.]

[Duke moves back to shut the door, standing in front of it with his arms crossed over his chest.]

[A little startled but not quite put off, Mason makes a dodge towards the right of Duke]

Here, you can't keep me prisoner, lad, I already am one. Now fuck off.

[It's not Duke's first time trying to catch a thief. He reaches out to grab Mason by the upper arm, keeping his body in the way of the exit.]

This is house arrest, not prison. And yeah, I really can.

[With his arm grabbed, Mason looks Duke properly up and down, scowling. He shoves the man's shoulder with his free hand]

Fuck off! Don't you go putting your hands on me.

[He smiles tightly, working to stay in place when Mason shoves him. He doesn't let go yet, just gently pushes him back.]

You just broke in to a private cabin. Moreover, you tried to take my stuff. And for all I know you're not allowed to be smoking.

I'm not going to hurt you. I'm just going to call your warden.

[Now twisting and attempting to pull away, Mason pulls back as far as he can, his free hand grabbing Duke's offending wrist]

I can smoke! An' the cabin was empty when I came in, how am I supposed to know what's occupied an' what isn't? I'll pay you for the bloody joint, but let go of my fuckin' arm.

[Duke reaches for Mason's other arm, intending to hold them at his sides until he calms down.]

Empty? This cabin looks empty to you? You couldn't tell someone lived here?

I don't care about the joint. I care why you're here stealing from me - and by the way, doing a really bad job of it.

[Okay, this went from comical and light-hearted to highly, highly worrying. Mason gives Duke a startled look as the man takes his other arm, and begins to fight in earnest. He's not particularly strong, but he's wriggly and difficult to hold onto]

Get the fuck off me!

[This is not worth it. Duke pushes Mason away, picking his communicator back up before taking his post at the door again. He reaches into his pocket and withdraws a disposable lighter, which he tosses to Mason.]

Just finish your damn joint.

[He's pushed gently back to the couch, where he falls with ease, staring owlishly up at Duke. Mason catches the lighter, looking it over in his hands]


...No thanks, I'd rather not.
